3. DEITY WITH 18 ARMS

China, 17th-18th century.
Gilded bronze, possibly a form of Avalokitesvara, with fragments of black and red pigments.
Crowned and seated with attributes in her hands.
Height 32 cm (12,5"). Weight 6,72 kg.
Later sealed, minor dents, three attributes and one hand missing, surface wear as expected on a bronze of this age, base probably missing, areas with later gold paint.
Provenance: Probably Nils Nessim Collection (Stockholm), the 1950:s.
