The very first Leica owned by renowned photographer Inge Morath ! Outfit including Summarit 1.5/5cm no.951965 (cap), Summaron 3.5/3.5cm no.889349 (caps), Hektor 4.5/13.5cm no.854664 (cap), VIOOH universal finder no.1333. Inge Morath received this Leica from her brother Werner in 1946 and also used it to shoot her famous picture 'Mrs. Eveleigh Nash, Buckingham Palace Mall, London 1954'. After Inge Morath passed away, the outfit went back to her brother Dr. Werner Mörath, who is offering the camera in this auction. It comes with a personal letter from Dr. Werner Mörath outlining the history of this outfit. It also includes a copy of the book ' Bibliothek der Photographie, Grosse Photographen unserer Zeit: Inge Morath', signed by Inge Morath and copies of some private photographs.
