312. Elmarit 2.8/9cm 'Prototype'

very rare prototype with aperture preselection facility, made in the first batch of Elmarit lenses (nos.1585001-1585070), in very fine condition in OTZFO short focusing mount in very early Visoflex II with logo on front, this lens is illustrated in Paul-Henry van Hasbroeck 'A History Illustrating every Model and Accessory' on p.247, a similar lens is shown in Leica Historica 'Wilhelm Albert Geburtstage der Leitz-Foto-Konstruktionen ab 1927' p.196 &197
