11. Leica I Mod. A 'Cutaway-Model'

For demonstration purposes, official factory “cutaway” models were individually manufactured of various Leica models over the decades. The cutaway versions of the Leica I are extremely rare – there are only a handful of original specimens known to exist in collections worldwide.
The Leica model IA cutaway model with number 30663 offered here is listed as a “Schnittmodell” (cutaway model) in the factory records. Furthermore, the camera is also published in Lager Leica, illustrated History, Vol. I, on page 25.

Für Demonstrationszwecke wurden im Werk von verschiedenen Leica Modellen immer wieder vereinzelt sogenannte „Schnittmodelle“ ausgeführt. Die Schnittmodelle der Leica I sind extrem selten – es sind weltweit etwa nur eine Handvoll originale Exemplare in Sammlungen bekannt.
Das hier angebotene Schnittmodell der Leica IA mit der Nummer 30663 ist in den Werksunterlagen als „Schnittmodell“ eingetragen. Diese Kamera ist außerdem publiziert in Lager Leica, Illustrated History, Bd. I auf Seite 25.
