very rare post-war Contax I with chromed front plate, only few of these cameras are known to exist - it is believed a handful of these cameras have been made immediately after WWII - the chrome finish was a result of a shortage of high-quality black paint, which was sourced by Zeiss from Russia and not available directly after the war, also the knobs on the top and front of the camera are finished in chrome, the camera is in used condition, with black/nickel Sonnar 2/5cm no.1502979, lens cap and worn case
