195. Leitz Military Aeronautic Stuka Lens Hood *

This unique combination lens hood and camera holder was developed for use in German Stukas for aerial photography, only one completely finished and grey painted hood survived plus 5 examples of unfinished metal, which were acquired by Gianni Rogliatti about 30 years ago. This is one of these now finished, green painted and engraved, using the original template 'Sonnenblende für Luftaufnahmen Objektiv Summitar f 5cm 1:2', lit. Wilhelm Albert 'Geburtstage der Leitz-Foto-Konstruktionen ab 1927', page 87 (Stuka Sonnenblende, also unfinished), Lager Vol.III page 83, Rogliatti "Leica The first 70 Years" page 123, with a certificate from Rogliatti
