In 1936 Leitz introduced a Leica camera for 10 meters of film – the Leica 250 or the “Reporter.” As can be seen from the designation, 250 shots (full 35mm format) could be made without having to put in a new roll of film. In order to achieve that, the camera has two large film cassettes, which gives the Leica “Reporter” its unmistakable appearance.
The feature of 1/1000 sec. as fastest exposure speed has been adopted for the Leica 250 as early as 1936 with the introduction of the Leica IIIa Mod. G - resulting in the so-called “GG” model.
The 250 GG offered here is in beautiful original condition and in good working order. Included are two matching film spools and an uncoated Elmar 3.5/5cm no.535517.
