6. Leica I Mod. A Elmax 'Leih-Kamera'

Very rare and original 'loan camera' engraved on rear of top plate 'Leih-Kamera', according to the Leitz sales book (photocopy is attached) the 'Leihk.' was delivered on September 16th, 1929 to E. L. Berlin, order no. 00208 - the early Elmax 3.5/50mm lens is an original 5-element lens (authenticated and CLA by Ottmar Michaely), camera and lens in fine, original and perfect working condition - provenance: the camera was owned by the famous photographer and film director Uldis Brauns from Latvia.
