311. Leitz VIOOH finder 18x24 prototype *

Near mint and extremely rare VIOOH universal finder for 18x24 (Half Frame), engraved 'E.LEITZ WETZLAR GERMANY 18x24' on rear, this finder was developed to use 3.5cm - 13.5cm lenses with the Leica 72, including maker's box - one other example (no.87634) is illustrated in 'Lager Volume III' page 24 and came from the Leitz Museum - ex Dr. Günter Kisselbach collection
