309. Zeiss Anastigmat 5.5/25mm Prototype of Contax Topogon

A unique Carl Zeiss Jena Anastigmat 5.5/2.5cm in original Contax mount. This special lens represents a forerunner of the later (also prototype) Topogon 4.5/2.5cm, it is finished in black/nickel and was developed in 1935. The pre-war Topogon was produced in a very small series for Contax II/III cameras in 1939 and finished in chrome (see our auction 19, lot number 411). The offered lens is in very fine original condition, it is the only example we have seen!
