The fastest and probably rarest lens in Nikon F mount ever made. The CRT-Nikkor 58mm f1.0 was designed for use with an oscilloscope. "CRT" is the abbreviation for 'Cathode Ray Tube'. Produced in early to mid 1970's. The lens was designed (red engraved 'M = 1/4') for rays of 404.7 µm (h-line) wavelength. It is extremely rare and almost unknown - only three examples appeared on the market in the last 15 years! The offered example is in beautiful, near-mint condition, with very good optics, comes with a custom made Leica L adapter allowing the lens to focus from 0.5m to infinity.
