35. Leica IIIa 'Monté en Sarre'

very rare IIIa assembled in the French occupied zone of Germany (Saarland) to avoid too high customs charges at the time, engraved on the top plate with 'Monté en Sarre' (mounted in the Sarre), in original and very good condition, in working order, sharkskin covering, with Elmar 3.5/5cm no.647625 showing some cleaning marks (front cap) and ever ready case, only about 400 of these cameras have been made
