46. Leica IIIf Betriebskamera black paint *

Very rare, original Leica IIIf black paint. The construction is based on a Leica IIIf and represents a pre-series of the Leica IIIf. The camera, initially engraved with 'Leitz Eigentum' on the back of the top plate, stayed in the factory from 1950 to 1970 - it was when it was sold and the engraving removed. It comes with a matching 1950 coated Elmar 3.5/5cm no.707704 and a special black painted Leicavit. A sidenote in the control book in the Leica Archives says 'No. 517401-517525 Kamera mit Leitz-Eigentum graviert u. schwarz lackiert' (camera engraved with 'Leitz Eigentum' and black painted).
