249. Leitz OPDUR Camera Stock prototype

A unique camera stock, designed to be a part of a photographic outfit for photographing surgical operations, it appeared in the Leitz catalogues around 1932, but was only produced for special orders and was quickly discontinued, because longer focal lengths of the new Leica lenses offered more simple solutions.

The offered example is the only one we know to exist. It is in excellent condition and was shown in Lars Netopil 'Prototype Leica' on pages 97-99. Earlier, it was a part of the collection of Leitz factory museum.
