31. Leica IIa sync. no.303 with Elmax *

an interesting camera, initially delivered as a Leica I Mod. A Elmax to Leitz Berlin on 24.09.1925, upgraded to Leica II in 1934, to Leica IIa in 1938 and finally to Leica IIa sync. in 1956 - everything confirmed by entries in Leica repair book. Interestingly, even after all these upgrades the camera still kept the original Elmax lens and the early aluminium cap.
It is one of the better-documented and most interesting Leica upgrades we know of.
