340. Robot Luftwaffe Type 375

Extremely interesting and rare Robot camera for 375 exposures on 10m film, made for German Air Force during WWII, special serial number beginning with 'D'. It was believed only two batches of 100 cameras have been made (nos. D47001 - D47100 + D58001 - D58100) this camera is the unique known piece from a later batch! Interesting to note that the whole camera has been painted in mat black. Together with Tele-Xenar 3.8/7.5cm no.1781728 with 'Luftwaffen-Eigentum' engraving. The Robot 375 cameras were mounted in the rear of Ju87 warplanes and used in similar way to the famous Leica 250 with electric motor drive. Once activated the camera took photos automatically in fixed time intervals. The Robot cameras were highly regarded because of picture quality and reliability in extreme conditions.
